New Immigration Plan 2021

The new Government Proposals, their New Plan for Immigration, announced at the end of March, are now nearing the end of their Consultation period which closed on the 6th May. They are designed to drastically restrict access to the Asylum System.

The document vilifies Refugees and attempts to turn claiming Political Asylum into a crime. It also seeks to convince people that we are somehow under attack, when in reality the numbers of people arriving at our borders are minuscule in comparison with countries like Lebanon, Turkey and Jordan.

Here are three open letters produced by ALM, for use with our MPs, Councillors and leaders. Please amend the letters with your own name and details.

Short letter 1                            Medium letter 2                    and Long letter 3

Each expresses our opinions in different ways. The letters will download to your PC or device.

It would be helpful if you emailed expressions of support for these letters to Gareth Hankinson, Deputy Manager at gareth@asylumlink.org.uk as well as writing on your own behalf, to MPs, Councillors, religious leaders and others who may be able to influence the outcome of the legislation’s passage through Parliament.

Should you wish to contact the Home Office or the Home Secretary Priti Patel, here are the details
