BBC Bitesize A little bit difficult to navigate but here’s a quick link to some exercises for basic to intermediate students

www.newsinlevels.com Topical news stories with exercises to follow. Level 1 is written in simple present tense in short sentences with difficult vocab explained. Exercises follow each news story. New stories uploaded daily
