Food for takeaway will be available from 12 noon to 1pm today for up to 50 people. It will not be possible to eat on site.

Update 21 March 2020  We will be running a takeaway food service on Monday between 12noon and 1pm, where people can come to the centre and pick up a meal.

We are testing this to see if it is useful to people, how we cope with numbers of people coming through the building in light of the restrictions, and how we might alter things for better access in the future.

Update 13th March 2020   Due to the developing situation with Corona Virus, ALM has decided to suspend all non-essential services. This is to minimise the numbers of people in the building and the resultant risk of infection. This means only those with destitution or specific casework needs should visit the centre.

From Monday 16th March the following services are suspended:

  • ESOL Classes and Conversation Clubs
  • Clothes Store
  • Kitchen – No meals, tea or coffee
  • Group activities – Women’s Group and Choir
  • Bike Workshop

Other services for the Destitute Group and for Complex and Urgent Casework will continue, but in a different format. Food will be distributed as normal on Fridays.

If you would like to arrange a meeting with a caseworker about something urgent, please call us on: 0151 709 1713. Please tell us your name, what the issue is, and your preferred language. People attending in person should go to the rear of the building where they will be met and the needs assessed.

You should not attend the ALM centre if you have any of these symptoms:

new persistent cough, high temperature, shortness of breath
